The funeral service for Davy and Natalie Lloyd is scheduled to be held at 10 a.m. EDT today at Bible Holiness Assembly of God in Neosho, Mo. A livestream of the service has begun and WORLD readers can access it here.

Who were Davy and Natalie Lloyd? Davy, 23, and Natalie Lloyd, 21, were full-time missionaries in Haiti, working with the group Missions in Haiti Inc. The Lloyds were leaving a church activity for youth in the Haitian capital of Port-au-Prince on Thursday, May 23, when they were ambushed by gangs and fatally shot. A third victim, 47-year-old Judes Montis, was also killed. Montis was the director of the mission organization where the Lloyds worked. Last week, hundreds of people packed a Port-au-Prince church to mourn Montis’ death.

What is Missions in Haiti Inc.? According to its website, Missions in Haiti Inc. was started by David and Alicia Lloyd, the parents of Davy Lloyd, in 2000. The organization’s “About Us” page says its purpose is to set Haiti on a different course by ministering to the country’s children, which it describes as malnourished, uneducated, and directionless.
