On Tuesday, a major Democratic donor in California was found guilty in the cases of two deaths that occurred in his apartment as a result of forced drug overdoses, The Daily Caller reports.

Ed Buck, the gay 66-year-old donor and a major fixture in California Democratic politics, was found guilty on nine felony counts by a federal jury, after just four hours of deliberation following a two-week trial. All of the charges stemmed from his habits of inviting other gay men into his apartment and offering them drugs for sex, sometimes forcing them to inject themselves as part of one of his fetishes. In addition to the deaths, he faced charges of soliciting prostitutes, distributing methamphetamine, and maintaining a drug den.

On two occasions, such forced overdoses killed two men he brought to his apartment: 26-year-old Gemmel Moore and 55-year-old Timothy Dean. A third man nearly died of an overdose from similar practices in 2019, but managed to survive and called the police, which led to Buck’s high-profile arrest. Buck pleaded not guilty to all of the charges. As a result, he could face a sentence of life in prison.

Buck had donated over $500,000 to Democratic politicians and other left-wing causes in California since the year 2000. Some of the most prominent names who have received money from Buck include Hillary Clinton, Congressman Ted Lieu (D-Calif.), and Congressman Adam Schiff (D-Calif.).

Buck’s conviction on July 27th came on the four-year anniversary of the day Moore died in his apartment. Relatives and friends of the deceased cheered in court when the judge pronounced him guilty.
